KSS Charity 2010
It is our pleasure to announce that KSS selected “Divya Deepa Trust” Kenchalagudu village, Mysore District, Karnataka, India charity of the year-2010. KSS is continuing the tradition of helping the needy charity in Karnataka for the Third year. Thanks to all people who contributed last year.
Ground work from KSS:
KSS short listed many needy organizations in Karnataka who are serving the destitute children, women and downtrodden. “Divya Deepa Trust” is selected as our charity of the year. KSS contacted the founder Ananth Kumar and discussed the situation and found the need for financial help.

Divya Deepa Trust is a non-profit organization working for the betterment of Physically, Emotionally, Economically and Socially challenged children. .
Started with an aim to transform these children into self-reliant citizens of the country by giving them care, love, empathy & memorable childhood. It is working for the betterment of opportunity deprived children. Also works in the field of youth and women empowerment, rural development and environmental awareness.
Divya Deepa Trust”Divya Deepa Trust founder Ananth Kumar obtained degree in Engineering from MCE, Hassan. Because of his turbulent childhood, he could feel
the plight of the deprived children. Deriving inspiration from the ideals Sri Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda he relinquished his job and founded the trust. His wife is also actively involved. Their son is one among 45 children who are happily evolving. Young volunteers from
engineering colleges are also actively involved.The homely atmosphere, the freedom for exploring new things, flexible curriculum, friendly teachers, have brought in a pivotal change in
every kid’s behavior.
- Do you feel for these Children...Who are rural young children opting out of schools to assist their parents due to poverty, school dropouts, unable to adjust themselves to the highly competitive education system and Bright children who find main stream schools inadequate.
How can you help?
KSS started collecting fund/donation for “Divya Deepa Trust” from it's members and others, which will be sent at the end of this year. You can either mail a check to the address given below or donate cash. Checks should be payable to KSS with a memo "KSS Charity-2010". If you like to give cash you can put the cash in the donation box located near the front desk in every KSS events.
How kids can help?
Collect your “Piggy Bank” (Hundi) from the charity desk
Take it home and keep it in a visible place.
Encourage your kids to collect money in this piggy bank.
Explain how this benefits the deprived kids.
Handover the collected money at the end of the year.

KSS Charity of the year- 2008:
Mathruchaya: "Mathruchaya" is a registered organization which takes care of children
from economically and socially backward families. Ashram provides
shelter, food, clothing, healthcare and education (all at free of
cost) to children who have lost their parents. Presently it is a
�HOME� for 30 orphaned girls.
