Comments from audience:
1. Arut Selvan:
Thank you for the kind invitation to KSS -Rajyotsava celebration.
It was really very nice event, excellent team effort, quality of
the program was superb, program flow was very well organized.
Vadya vrinda I enjoyed, all plays were very nice though I missed
kids program (normally I give first preference). congratulations
Team !
2. Senthil:
It was a very different show this time, different kind of drama,
different kind of dance and different kind of comedy. Very innovative
and nicely presented! Nice job!
3. Bhargava Gurram: President, TAGS
Thank you for inviting TAGS for KSS 5th Anniversary celebrations.
I enjoyed all programs very well (especially the one that Pandu,
sukumar and others danced. Pandu was too good as a Swamiji).
Since I lived in Bangalore for 7 years, I knew Kannada and I enjoyed
all the programs.
You maintained excellent quality in all the programs. Once again
I like to thank you for the opportunity and your hospitality.
4. Raju Reddy:
This is one of the best events that I have come across. Though i
am not from Karnataka and lived in Karnataka for 10 years I attended
this function as per my friends advice.
I was very happy see all the cultural program. There was a variety
in the cultural program. The best that I liked was Crime Diary.
They did great job and was very hilarious. Other program that I
liked was Devils Dance. This was something new and innovative. Food
was good.
5. Shobha Srinath:
Namaskara, Rajyothsava 2008 programs were good. So was the dinner.
The cultural team had worked hard for this show.
For those involved in making this happen ... ...Hruthpoorvaka .Abhinandanegalu.
Audience had good time and I am sure so did all the performers ,
who worked hard. I sincerely wish that I could list the names of
everybody involved.
Performance by Sahana Acharya ,Vishwa vinoothana chorus,Nammoora
Vaibhava, Theredide mane o baa athithi, crime diary, guddada bhootha
are well appreciated.
Crime diary was a real entertainer and was creative. Gurudutt Vasudevamurthy
has succeeded in winning the hearts of the audience with quality
humor. Humor can always win the hearts of many.
Ammavara Ganda was another enjoyable performance. Again, the efforts
are well appreciated.
We Thank and appreciate all the participants and those involved
and look forward to enjoy many more celebrations with our sangha.
6. Soumya Viswanathan:
I am from the Bay Area and I attended this event along with my friend's
family. I should say that the quality of the programs were excellent.
Clearly, VADYA VRINDA tops the list. Its amazing Sacramento has
such wonderful artists. I hope to hear more from the vadya vrinda
group during the next event.
Kannada was granted classical status this year and the instrumentalists
chose the perfect krithis for this event.
7. Sukumar:
To begin with, I would like you all to take a moment and congratulate
yourselves on a job well done. Each and every one of you deserves
to pat your backs. All your hard work and strength showed off in
the very successful Rajyotsava celebrations on Saturday.
Any such function will end up with a list of positives and negatives.
Unfortunately, a lot of times, we end up harping about all the bad
things that happened, conveniently forgetting that there were so
many more good things which came out. So, please take a moment to
appreciate your team work. You guys rock!!!
You had set the bar very high last year. It was certainly an uphill
task to beat that. Personally, I thought that the overall quality
of programs was better last year. But, that should, in no way, take
the shine out of this year's event. With such short notice, people
were able to come up with such innovative pieces and that is certainly
creditable.
I would like to take this opportunity to point out that I am amazed
at the creativity of Kannadigas in Sacramento. The varieties of
the programs were both astounding and glamorous, and the two words
don't go together usually!
I also want to congratulate you guys for coming up with the brilliant
idea of having kids as MC's for the children's programs. It was
a very nice idea and successfully executed. Kudos!
Thank you again for conducting a very successful Kannada Rajyotsava
in Sacramento. We look forward to more such events. I want to personally
congratulate Ramya and all her team members for the incessant energy,
dedication and passion.
Let's hope this goes on for eons....
